Who is Shaun T?

In Insanity, you’ll be taught by Shaun T.  Shaun is a high-energy fitness instructor who previously was featured on the very popular Hip Hop Abs training program, also by Beachbody.  Shaun is really motivating, and he pushes the viewer really hard.  But he also keeps it fun, which is really important when you feel like the workout might be too intense.  He helps you push through the pain and keep burning more calories.  Also, some of the other Beachbody instructors can come off a bit corny and tell bad jokes during the video (cough, Tony Horton), but Shaun T just puts you at ease and isn’t distracting.

One warning I saw a couple of times is for those with severe joint pain (knees, ankles, shoulders, etc.).  This program is tough on the joints, and if you already have substantial issues with those areas, this may not be the program for you.  That being said, others have experienced decreased joint pain due to no longer being overweight after completing the program.  Please use caution and discretion if you fall within this category.
